What is Trotskyism?
Trotskyism is a communist tendency that keeps Leninist party politics but stresses international revolution, workers' democracy against bureaucracy, and opposition to 'socialism in one country'. It is economically far left and socially authoritarian, less so than the cells above it.
Core principles
- Permanent revolution
- Anti-bureaucracy
- Planned economy
On the PoliMap chart this cell runs from -10 to -6 on the economic axis and 2 to 6 on the social axis. Negative economic scores are left; positive social scores are authoritarian.
